Make Property History Show 3a: BROWN TORPEDO SPECIAL

with one comment

Yes. I understood with this show the exact meaning of ‘stealing the show.’ They stole it! And it was very funny. Enjoyed doing this while feeling my brain tron apart by the combination of tech failures and lightning fast repartee. Repartee beard. I can’t apologize for the sound quality. Can’t and/or won’t.

No tracklisting, really, I gave up on rekkids for this.

Make Property History Show 3: Pussy Interlocutors with Ludo Bunel & Caroline Pugh

leave a comment »

For the very third show it was superb to welcome Ludo Bunel and Caroline Pugh, two pre-eminent profound vomitors, onto the show. The print-out of the playlist forgot to make its way to the studio, so much of the time I didn’t know what was happening, or going to happen. And also, as I post this, I still have not recovered the full information: some track names elude me, so for the moment I will provide playlist with artist names only, then soon I’ll complete it when I return to Newcastle. Other than that there’s not much to say because the show says it for itself.

Make Property History Show 2: Tubism, with Alex Campbell & John Pope

leave a comment »

The second Make Property History on Culture Lab Radio featured very special studio guests Alex Campbell and John Pope writing parts of Gwilly’s continuity and discussing the sex appeal of Jimmy Page and Robert Plant.

Unfortunately the recording is missing the 15-minute close-out that was taken over by John and Alex after Gwilly went for the train – turns out recording from the stream is not totally reliable so we’ll record off the mixer from now on. Missing tracks includes more Brown Torpedo, more Drenching, Count Basie and Bootsy Collins…

Playlist
Brown Torpedo – ‘Red Lorry, Yellow Lorry’
Roscoe Mitchell – ‘Stomp And The Far East Blues’
The Fall – ‘I’ve Been Duped’
Greg Genre – ‘In the Toy or In Me’
Grunt – ‘Pripyat’
Bark – ‘Mal’
Vuvudan Vaidat – ‘Tubist Cat-’ (with voices added by Gwilly, Alex, John & Ko-Le)
THF Drenching – ‘Ian Howard’

Make Property History Show 1: IMPEGA LYRECO

leave a comment »

IMPEGA LYRECO, the first Make Property History radio show went out live on Culture Lab Radio on Monday 29th November 2010. It’s a bit of a mess, and that, but then that’s the only way it can be if you’re on some Gwilly Edmondez drive thru’. To be honest I feel a bit of dick about certain parts: the thing about Gamma being ‘sort of a wino.’ Which I guess he was, but the measly-bourgeois priest-spawn didn’t have to dribble it thus. What was in my head then was OTL sharing catalystic Special Brews in the park with Gamma from Shitkick & Doughballs. But it seems that by the time I played Gamma on the show last Monday, he had already died (you can listen to OTL’s show from the day Gamma was created (last Wednesday) by click this WORD). Dallas Boner told me on Thursday that Ben Watson said that when he met Gamma 25 years ago he thought, ‘He’s going to die tomorrow.’

PLAYLIST

Crooklyn Dodgers – ‘Crooklyn Dodgers (Baseball Mix)’
Out To Lunch – ‘Smooch Tentet Resolve’ (performed by Gamma)
Mauricio Kagel – ‘Der Schall 1′
Jwaffer – ‘Planetary Escape In A Caravan’
[Reading – from Leila Berg Looking at Children]
Alex Campbell – ‘A.M.’
[Reading – Gustav Thomas – Impega Lyreca]
Napalm Death – ‘The Brink of Extinction’
Iannis Xenakis -’Khoaï’
Inuit Throat Singers – ‘Trois Jeux De Gorge, Katajjaq’ (from Les voix du monde, une anthologie des expressions vocales)
Gwilly Vs. Boundy – ‘Vocal Improv over Neo-Liberal Husband – “Hairier Legs Than Your Boyfriend”’
Tystion – ‘Fisher Price Vs. Tonka’
Xiu Xiu – ‘Hyunhye’s Theme’
Gwilly the Finisher’s 15-minute close-out:
Neo-Liberal Husband – ‘Hairier Legs Than Your Boyfriend’
DMX – ‘Keep Your Shit The Hardest’
Kevin Keegan – ‘Some Shite from the 70s’ (For Brammers)
[‘Thinking the Unthinkable Tank’ – Excerpt from Radio 4 Today programme feat. Bee Campbell and Jenny Bristow and debating
whether page 3 of the Sun is sexist]
U2 – ‘Sexy Boots’  HAHAHAHA
Thomas Dolby – ‘Dissidents/Screen Kiss’
Gwilly Edmondez – ‘What You Eat (Closing Title for Radio Show’

Thanks to Craig Wells for contributions and wine. I promise to spend more than 3 and a half minutes making Gwilly the Finisher’s 15-minute close-out next week!
